Yellow Class – 23 March 2018

We have had a very exciting few weeks in Reception!
We had the pleasure of Rosie the postie popping in, where she took us back on a journey long long ago to meet characters from the Jolly Postman.
We then went on our school trip to the Postal Museum, some of the things the children did includes visiting the Sorted! Postal Play Space, where they dressed up, posted letters and role played. They took part in an interactive storytelling session and visited the museum exhibition.  It was a fun and educational day out for parents, teachers and of course the children!
Other highlights from Yellow class include a visit to the local greengrocers to buy vegetables, which the children prepared and chopped. Once they were cooked, we had a little feast in the classroom. In Maths the children explored weighing items using scales and learning about different coins and how to add pennies together. As Easter approaches we hope to learn about the story of Easter, make chocolate nests and go on an Easter egg hunt.
