DT & MUSIC - junk musical instruments
During the Summer term, (2023) pupils at Firs Farm enjoyed a week full of Music and Design Technology. They learnt how to design and make musical instruments out of junk and then being able to play them on a given musical note. There were different categories of instruments: percussion, woodwind, string and brass. The categories were based on their sounds, characteristics, and how the sounds are produced. Pupils across school created various musical instruments; some of their work is displayed below.
