Yellow Class – 9 March 2018

The children have had plenty of fun during Book week.

We have been reading the stories of Monkey Puzzle and What the Ladybird Heard, we have created our own story maps showing the trail of the lady bird.

We have also made our very own animals from the jungle using collage material and 3D ladybirds to hang in our book corner.

We have been practising our Poem on Wild Animals as part of Book Week and performed it confidently to the whole school in assembly.

As part of our topic ‘People who help us’ we have learnt about the roles of doctors, nurses and Police officers and exploring the importance of their jobs during our circle time discussions. We look forward to learning about Fire fighters next week.

In Maths we have focused on capacity this week, we have enjoyed learning about which containers are full, half full or empty, as well as exploring which containers hold more in the sand and water area.
