This half term we are looking at the artist Claude Monet. Currently, we have looked at his work and discussed the style of paintings he produced. We recognised that Monet often painted rivers and lilies, using water colours to create a soft effect. He didn’t use bold colours but blended them to create blurred lines.
First, we used the iPads to research Monet.
Last week, we looked at Monet’s different paintings and then created our own version using water pencils. You can see some of our work below. We will update this blog each week to show you the progress of our artwork!
Then, we created our versions of Monet paintings.
After, we took a picture of our pond on the iPad and sketched it on A4 paper.
