Year 6 – 19 January 2018

This week, Year 6 have been looking at the features of persuasive texts and biased arguments. The children wrote letters to Ms Williams to try and convince her to ban playtime and lunchtime detentions! We also had class debates on whether or not junk food should be banned for children. In numeracy the children were really excited to start learning about algebra. They have been using simple formulae and began looking at linear number sequences.

In Science, the children consolidated their learning about living a healthy lifestyle by creating PowerPoint presentations in Computing. In History, the children reviewed what they have learned about the Mayans so far and came up with questions that they would like answered during the course of the topic.
