As you are aware our pupils have been very passionate about the recent campaigns that were put forward by the school’s UNICEF Article 12 Group. As a result, last year Firs Farm pupils, together with the Ambassadors, ran two hugely successful campaigns; Day for Change, where we raised £1500; and the OUTRIGHT campaign, whereby children wrote to the Home Secretary regarding reuniting refugee children with their families.
On the back of this success, UNICEF contacted us to ask whether they could use our school and our Ambassadors in their new publicity materials. Consequently, on Saturday 21st January, UNICEF representatives joined our Ambassadors for a publicity shoot at our school and some of these photographs are now included on the UNICEF official website. If you would like to view the photographs you can visit:

Although some of the photographs were staged, all of the activities were real! It was a very successful and enjoyable day and enabled the Ambassadors to realise the importance of their role. The Ambassadors showed great maturity and were complimented on their commitment and behaviour by all the UNICEF representatives on the day.
The Article 12 Group is currently considering a focus for their next campaign and we hope for your continuous support.
